Behind the Scenes
Live from our production house, Nasrin is putting the finishing touches on our upcoming knit collection—a mix of warm and cool-toned prints you know and love. Here’s an exclusive sneak peek into the process of turning bold prints into soft knits that you’ll want to wear all season long.
-
Sourcing Yarn
Every sweater begins with yarn. For each print, we carefully source fine cotton yarns which are dyed to our colors standards—ensuring vibrancy, softness, and durability from the very first step.
-
Setting up Machines
Once the yarn is ready, it’s loaded onto state-of-the-art Japanese Knitting machines that knit the printed panels. These automated machines run with precision, overseen by a skilled team who monitor every detail.
-
The Jacquard Technique
Our sweaters are made using different types of Jacquard knitting techniques, each one specialized to the number of colors and details of the particular print pattern—this technique reveals the full, bold print while the back shows the intricate interplay of yarn colors that create it.
-
Cutting
When the panels come off the machines, some panels are fully fashioned knitted to an exact shape while others are individually hand cut for more stylized elements of our styles.
-
Linking
Each panel is then carefully linked together by hand by a skilled artisan who matches each knitted knot on adjacent panels for a seamless final look.
-
Quality Checking
Before leaving the factory floor, every piece is inspected to make sure there are no stray yarns and that all measurements match our exact specifications.
-
Washing
The sweaters are then washed and softened to give a luxurious hand feel and remove any residual shrinkage for you.
-
Ready for you
Finally, they’re packed up and shipped to our Brooklyn studio—ready to be sent straight to your door and just in time for sweater weather!
